The Raab Associates Prize

Overview: "Bug Games" by Jane Yolen

Here are the basic specs for our Raab Prize project:

  • This is a horizontal spread, 16" x 10"  "live" area
  • You must work in proportion to this size. Download the template as a pdf here: "Bug Games" pdf layout
  • Or here: Templates

Objectives:

This project will:

  • Give you the opportunity to work an assignment in much the same manner as a professional assignment- meeting firm deadlines, following publishing specs, conceptualizing the project, taking it through to finished art, and converting it into a digital format for the client.
  • Put money in your pocket if you are the successful entrant!
  • Allow you to work on a project that goes beyond the classroom and becomes public, which is an important transitional experience

Players/Stakeholders

  • The Artist: That's you!
  • The Audience: Young readers- 6-8 and 8-12, depending upon reading level
